Start a STEM From Dance Club
Our free flexible length club programs help girls in grades 3-12 explore coding, AI, physics, and more, through movement, music, and creative expression.

What’s a Club?
Clubs are free, creative programs where girls ages 8–18 explore STEM concepts through movement, music, and design. Each Club blends coding, physics, and choreography — turning learning into an expressive, hands-on experience that builds confidence, curiosity, and community.Clubs are led by educators, after-school facilitators, leaders, mentors, and advocates who want to make STEM learning more creative and inclusive. We partner with schools, districts, and organizations like libraries and community centers to launch Clubs in communities nationwide — helping more girls see themselves as innovators and leaders.
They’re flexible by design: Clubs can run for 10 consecutive weeks, a semester, or the full school year, and can take place during class, after school, on weekends, or during the summer. No dance or STEM experience required!

Afrobeats & AI
Students delve into the intersection of AI, music, and dance through an introduction to AI basics, its application in music creation, and its role as a collaborative tool.
Reggaeton, Algorithms, & Virality
Students learn about the features of viral content and its connection to social media algorithms, data privacy, and real-world applications.
Hoop Dancing & the Physics of Percussion
Students explore Hoop Dancing, drums, and soundwaves.
Break Dance Machine
Students investigate the fundamentals of machine learning and its application to break dancing.
Carbon Footstep
Students explore the connection between environmental responsibility and artistic expression through Step dance.
No Breath, No Justice
Students discover the intersection of dance, science, and environmental justice by investigating how air quality affects respiratory health and how systemic inequalities contribute to clean air disparities.

Anyone Can Lead a Club
No STEM lab or dance studio experience required!
Club facilitators are teachers, youth program coordinators, librarians, community volunteers, or anyone ages 18+ who works with girls.
You need to provide enough open space for creative movement and the tech components of a typical classroom, including a smart board or projector, and 2:1 technology devices for students — desktops, Chromebooks, laptops, or tablets.
One facilitator can host and lead a Club.

You can use all of this to create something like a certain dance move or like a way to do things — using hula hoops, LED lights, artificial intelligence — like making something for your costume is pretty much everything and it just goes into your dance.”

As time went on, you could see her come out of her shell, really engage with her peers, want to work on her project, and become part of the team. At the end of the showcase, you could see the strong bond that group had together. It was amazing to see that growth.”

AI Foundations for the Future
Participants build an accessible understanding of artificial intelligence — what it is, how it works, and how it’s shaping the world they’re growing up in. They explore core ideas like algorithms, patterns, and data through engaging, real-world examples, gaining the confidence and curiosity needed to navigate and contribute to an AI-powered future.

Girls learn STEM concepts by embodying them — through choreography, rhythm, and creative movement. Each lesson transforms abstract ideas like algorithms, sound waves, or machine learning into kinetic experiences that make learning intuitive, memorable, and fun.

Every module leads to a tangible creation: coded light shows, wearable circuit costumes, sound-reactive performances, or AI-enhanced choreographies. These projects help girls practice design thinking, problem solving, and iteration — while seeing themselves as creators and innovators.
